Per LJ rules and regs, consider this your official warning: Lots of lewd and lascivious stuff going on around here. I don't edit or filter myself very well and it is, after all, MY blog so if you want me filtered, show up at Christmas when my grandpa is around. Otherwise, you get me real and raw... which can sometimes be a tart pill to swallow.

All in all, I'm harmless though so if you can handle the "intended in good fun" biting sarcasm and my opinions, please come in, have a seat, take a look around. Just wipe up when you're done.

Now, here are the details of what's going on inside my head which may explain a little about what's going in inside my blog:

I was born and raised in Texas. I am once again a resident of the good ol' Lone Star, after being away eleven long months. I've been looking for a place I can call "home" and getting back to Texas, I feel, will help me find that. I'm a mom and I adore my kids more than anything else in my life. I have opinions that I'm more than willing to share if you're willing to ask. I'm emotional without being dramatic. "Drama is for the stage and reality TV." I have enough of it in my life that I try not to stir up any extra.

On being a parent:
I am a mom. My boys, ages 10 and 5, are the reason I breathe every day and I can't imagine having anything more fulfilling in my life. I'm making some changes in my life that I hope will improve theirs. Ultimately, being a mom is the most important responsibility I will ever have and I make every attempt at doing it well.

On being me:
I turned 30 this year... and I'm actually becoming comfortable with that. I'm honest without being rude. If you ask me for the truth as I see it, please be prepared to get just that. It's about being real, not being right. I am working on being more involved with those around me. In the process, I am still learning so many things about myself.

What makes me tick:
I've spent so many years wondering what it is I'm supposed to do. Graphic design consumed my time from the age of 14 and then two years ago, I discoverd my love for the culinary arts. Cakes and cupcakes are my passion right now.

SOME NITTY GRITTY and not so pretty:
I'm a walking, sitting contradiction. People fascinate me and bore me, sometimes both, sometimes simultaneously. I love being surrounded by those I love this morning and crave isolation this afternoon.

I love everything about myself and I irritate me more than any person I know.

What is it about me?...... How much time do you have? I could explain it all over a small coffee and I could explain nothing over a lifetime.

MOSTLY, I think life changes so quickly and drastically that it takes time to really figure out who we are. I know I am loving, kind, and giving. I am confident and independent. Beyond that, I never know what tomorrow will bring and how profoundly it will affect me.
